The genuinely well-equipped
Hotel Vermont in Burlington has 6 Level 2 ChargePoint stations, free for guests. Woodstock Inn has 4 Tesla destination chargers plus 2 universal. Lodge at Spruce Peak (Stowe) has 8 stations across the resort. Basin Harbor added 6 chargers in 2024. If you’re doing a foliage loop, plan around these hubs — the Northeast Kingdom in particular has long stretches with no fast chargers.
The 'we have one and it might work' tier
Many smaller inns installed a single ChargePoint in 2022 and it’s now permanently blocked by a housekeeping van or reserved for the owner’s car. I’ve had this at three otherwise lovely Manchester and Middlebury B&Bs. Call ahead and ask specifically 'is the charger working this week and can I reserve it?' Killington Grand has 4 stations but they get camped during ski weekends — arrive early.
Good to know
Any DC fast chargers at hotels?+
Rare. Jay Peak and Killington resort areas have nearby DCFC. Most hotel chargers are Level 2 (25 miles/hour of charge) — fine for overnight.
Is charging free for guests?+
Usually yes at higher-end properties. Some Vermont chains charge $0.30/kWh via ChargePoint. Confirm before plugging in.
