Largely, yes. The July 2023 storm put the Black River through downtown and damaged businesses and homes badly, and the town has spent the years since rebuilding. Most of Main Street is trading again, but a few individual places never reopened, so check before you count on a particular restaurant.

Okemo runs lift-served activity in the warm months, there is golf in the valley, and Lake Rescue, Echo Lake and Lake Ninevah are all within a short drive for swimming and paddling. VT-100 north through Plymouth is one of the better foliage drives in the state.
Roughly two and a half hours from Boston and around four and a half from New York City by road, which is why it fills on winter weekends. Leaving early on Friday or late on Sunday makes a real difference to the drive.
